ABC News reported that two American women were injured by a shark while swimming in Bimini Bay in February 2025. Coverage describes their transfer to Florida hospitals for treatment. Child returned home after shark-tank injury at Atlantis

Good Morning America reported that a ten-year-old underwent surgery after a shark bite during an Atlantis experience in January 2024 and was airlifted to Maryland for further care. Blue Adventures said its staff responded immediately and the activity was paused during an investigation. That historical pause does not establish the activity’s current status or a finding of negligence.

Twelve-year-old survives shark bite during family visit to Staniel Cay

WPBF reported on a twelve-year-old who survived a shark bite during a family visit to the Bahamas in June 2026. Police placed the incident at Staniel Cay on June 23.
